About

Hello!

I currently work as an Undergraduate Experience Librarian at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where my primary duties are outreach, reference, library instruction, and supporting student success. I got my MLS from Indiana University in Indianapolis, and my BA in art history from San Francisco State University. I’m currently on the In the Library with the Lead Pipe editorial board, and one of the #critlib moderators.

In 2014, I participated in the ALA Emerging Leaders program and the Minnesota Institute For Early Career Librarians. You could say that mentorship, and professional engagement are important things to me. I love being a librarian, and I love helping people with their information needs. My research interests include diversity and stereotypes in librarianship, playful design, and critical pedagogy in information literacy instruction.

When I’m not librarian-ing, I like hanging out with my cats, riding my bike around the city and in faraway places, and dreaming of where I want to travel to next.
