LIBRARY EXPERIENCE

Reference and Instruction

• Teaching information literacy courses to associate and undergraduate level students.
• Helped design and implement an information literacy program for the campus’s Honors College. Mentor Honors students and provide in depth research consultations.
• Creating online tutorials on how to search databases.
• Providing reference assistance to students at the reference desk, email, telephone, and virtual chat.
• Regional administrator for the library’s Ask-A-Librarian service. Trouble shoot technical issues and advise other librarians on virtual chat best practices.

Digital Collections

• Create digital content by scanning documents, editing images using Adobe Photoshop.
• Create metadata records for digital collections according to Dublin Core Standards, using ContentDM.
• Familiarity with non-MARC metadata schemas (DC, VRA, CDWA) and creating metadata records in RDF.

Cataloging

• Updated OPAC and OCLC records.
• Assisted with a special deselection project.
